A Very Helpful Utility

I did not feel the need to know how much of my RAM was active or free until I installed Yosemite on my 2007 iMac. Up until then, the iMac’s 3GB of RAM kept things humming even with many open apps. But with Yosemite I was watching spinning rainbows for what seemed like hours even when keeping open apps to a minimum.

This app not only enabled me to see how fully occupied my RAM was, its handy “clean memory” button enabled me to keep my iMac up and running until my new RAM arrived. I plan to keep it open (it shows in the memory bar) even with my now 6GB of RAM, just to see how things are running.
